Hi, I'm Zsuzsanna, the founder of Hungary Assist USA.

I work to make sure that Hungarians living in the US get every matter in Hungary resolved quickly, smoothly and without headaches — whether it's official paperwork, keeping an eye on tenants, or organising a complete renovation.

If you own property in Hungary, I take care of on-site inspections and everything to do with your tenants, and I arrange trusted professionals for renovations, repairs and maintenance.

And you can handle it all from afar — calmly, without the stress.

What does Otthongondnok do?

We take care of your affairs back home in Hungary while you live in the United States: looking after your house or inherited property, keeping an eye on elderly parents, handling official paperwork (government offices, tax authority, pension, certificates), arranging funerals and church matters, and booking your hotel and airport transfer when you visit. We act on your behalf under a power of attorney.

How much does it cost?

There are three monthly packages: Basic Care ($89/month), Home Stewardship ($189/month) and Full Family Stewardship ($349/month). The first 20-minute consultation is free.

Do I need a power of attorney?

Yes. You sign a simple document, reviewed with a lawyer, and have it certified at a Hungarian consulate in the US. With it we can act for you immediately whenever something comes up.

Can you look after my elderly parents in Hungary?

Yes. We check in on them regularly, handle their medical and social affairs and accompany them to doctor's appointments, so you don't have to rely on phone calls alone. This is part of the Full Family Stewardship package.

Can you arrange a funeral in Hungary while I am in the US?

Yes. We organise the funeral, coordinate the memorial mass with the parish, and renew or look after the grave site, so you can say goodbye without handling everything from abroad.

Can you book my hotel and airport transfer when I visit Hungary?

Yes. When you come home for a visit, a family event or a funeral, we book your hotel or apartment and arrange your pickup at Budapest Airport and your transfer. Tell us your dates and we will send you a quote.
